Nov.11.2015About Cooperation Request for KANSAI World Masters Games 2021
On November 10 (Tuesday), KANSAI World Masters Games 2021 paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Hiroshi HASE the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and Mr. Daichi SUZUKI the Commissioner, Japan Sports Agency.
A reception was held to wish for the success of KANSAI World Masters Games 2021, bringing together economic associations and government bodies, sports associations, and others involved with hosting the Games. Over 500 participants joined in and made the event a rousing success.
Nov.13.2013Signing Ceremony at Nishi-Honganji Temple
The International Masters Games Association (IMGA), who are the organizers of the international competition for lifelong sports known as the World Masters Games, and Mr. Ido, the chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the KANSAI World Masters Games 2021, performed a signing ceremony for the basic agreement to host the Games, held at Nishi-Honganji Temple in Kyoto.
To prepare for the Kansai Games, Kai Holm, chairman of the International Masters Games Association (IMGA) visited Japan, joined by Marisol Casado, president of the International Triathlon Union (ITU) and current member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and Bob Elphinston, former president of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
Sep.26.2013Preparatory Committee for Kansai Games Established
Aiming to bring the World Masters Games 2021 to Kansai, the Kansai World Masters Games 2021 Preparatory Committee was established by Kansai prefectures and cities, economic associations, and sports associations.
